Rick Owens' Bolan Cutoffs are cut from a 16oz black selvedge denim, woven in Okayama, Japan on vintage shuttle looms and lightly washed in Italy. They are a high-waisted, slim six-pocket jean with a concealed button fly, rivets and topstitched back patch pockets. The legs are cut off raw below the knee with short slits at the sides, so the hem frays. Pressed creases run down the front and back of each leg, with light whiskering at the crotch. Dark warp and weft yarns keep the denim deep and even, without the blue cast of standard jeans. Wear them with tall leather boots and a fitted long sleeve.
