C.P. Company was founded in Bologna in 1971 by Massimo Osti, a graphic designer who approached clothing as a research problem rather than a styling one. The brand's signature is whole-garment dyeing, developed from 1974: finished pieces are submerged in a single dye bath, including ones combining different fabrics and fibres, which produces uneven, tone-on-tone colour no pre-dyed cloth can match. Osti pulled details from an archive of military and utility garments, work that produced the Mille Miglia goggle jacket of 1988, its lenses set into the hood.
We carry C.P. Company at Feuille, including the outerwear, knitwear and accessories, available online and in-store at our Vancouver boutique. The dyeing process means no two garments finish in exactly the same shade, so each piece carries colour that settled into its own seams and folds.
