Marking Distance is the New York ready-to-wear brand founded in 2024 by actor and model Luka Sabbat and designer James Pierce. The label began as Sabbat's Instagram archive documenting the space between places he travelled, before evolving with Pierce into a fully-fledged brand produced in Italy. The aesthetic draws on crust punk, kink culture, industrial subcultures and artisanal avant-garde tradition, filtered through both founders' New York fashion-scene upbringing.
The collection sits at the meeting point of sophisticated tailoring and subversive subculture.
