Enfants Riches Déprimés was founded in late 2012 by artist and designer Henri Alexander Levy, who began the label while studying art at UCLA. The name translates as "depressed rich kids," and the brand operates between Los Angeles and Paris on what Levy calls "elitist punk", drawing on 1970s French punk, 1980s Japanese avant-garde, and conceptual art.
Outerwear is one of the brand's most recognised categories. The collection is anchored by hand-finished leather biker and motorcycle jackets, many reworked with painted detail, hardware and studs, alongside coats and tailored outerwear shapes. Each is produced in small runs and finished by hand, so the paint, wear and hardware fall differently on every piece.
We carry Enfants Riches Déprimés jackets at Feuille, including leather biker and motorcycle styles, available online and in-store at our Vancouver boutique. The leather is worked and painted by hand, built to wear in and carry its marks rather than hide them.
