Kamiya is the Tokyo-based menswear brand launched in 2023 by Japanese designer Koji Kamiya. Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1995, Kamiya began his career in Osaka's vintage retail scene before working under Mihara Yasuhiro and joining SOSU's street label MYne, taking over as director in 2018 before renaming and relaunching the label as Kamiya in Fall/Winter 2023. The brand pulls from vintage and archival fashion, dirt-bike and skate culture, classic rock and hip-hop.
The collection sits between vintage streetwear and modern menswear. Hallmarks include the brand's signature damage-processing techniques on denim and knitwear, threadbare and moth-eaten hoodies, transparency-treated pieces inspired by mosquito parkas, bold cuts, oversized silhouettes and original graphics.
