Acne Studios was founded in 1996 in Stockholm by Jonny Johansson, who began the label as part of a multidisciplinary creative collective. Drawing on photography, art and architecture, Johansson built a house defined by Scandinavian minimalism, unconventional proportions and a quiet, anti-logo sensibility.
