Khoki

Khoki is the Tokyo-based ready-to-wear brand founded in 2019 by an anonymous collective design team. Recipient of the Tokyo Fashion Award 2023, a semi-finalist for the LVMH Prize 2024 and named among 10 Asian Designers to Watch in 2025, the collective draws on Japanese embroidery traditions, the Mingei folk-craft movement and global alternative culture, filtering them through a distinctly contemporary lens.

The collection sits between craft and provocation. Hallmarks include innovative patchwork, hand-applied lace embroidery, needle-punching, vintage treatments and inventive pattern cutting, translated across denim, leather, knitwear and outerwear. Each season reworks these handcrafted techniques in new forms, with a design language that Khoki describes as the thrill of a flea market: playful, imperfect, and grounded in clothes meant to be lived in for years rather than seasons.
