Enfants Riches Déprimés was founded in late 2012 by artist and designer Henri Alexander Levy, who began the label while studying art at UCLA. Translating as "depressed rich kids," the brand operates between Los Angeles and Paris and is built on what Levy calls "elitist punk", drawing on 1970s French punk, 1980s Japanese avant-garde, and conceptual art.
Hoodies carry the brand's signatures into knit and fleece. Expect oversized cuts, hand-distressed finishing, painted and printed graphics drawn from Levy's archive, and lived-in detailing that reads as worn rather than new. Pieces sit between sweatshirt and art object, and are produced in deliberately limited runs.
